Get this Miken NRG 500 98 mph approved bat while you can. This bat will be never be made again for ASA. Starting July 1st 2008 all new models of bats for ASA will be subject to new ASA test procedures. ASA has notified all bat companies that all (2009 Models) will have to undergo a new test named the (ABI) Advanced Break in Technique test which is actually ASA rolling the bat with a compression machine on the barrel. The bat would then be put to the 98 mph test and if it fails then ASA reserves the right to ban the bat. All current models like the (Miken NRG 500) will be grandfathered in indefinitely and will not be subject to the new ABI testing. So get them while you can. BAT REVIEW:

"The miken nrg 500 available in maxload or balanced. We tested the miken 500 in a 28oz. model on a 300 foot softball field. The 500 hits good out of the wrapper. We used a mix of dudley thunder low and high compression softballs. The line drives were really crisp and I hit a good amount of balls over the 300 foot fence with some of the furthest shots being in the 325 - 335 foot range. I would say the best feature to the bat is if you put good backspin on the ball it will carry. I would say that this bat is a top 5 bat for asa play." Reviewed by Roll 2 Sports

ADD THE BAT BREAK IN SERVICE - $20

Don't have the time or resources to break in your bat before your first game, then let the professionals do it for you. We will break in your bat by hitting 100 softballs that are pitched from a pitching machine. The balls will be pitched at regular slowpitch speed with an arc of 6 to 8 feet. We will rotate the bat 1/4 inch turn after every hit so the entire barrel breaks in evenly. The factory shrink wrap paper will be left on the bat during the break in process. This will not void your warranty like rolling your bat in a machine would. For slowpitch and fastpitch softball bats the softball used will be a 12 inch Dudley Thunder 44 core 400 compression.

For baseball bats the ball used will be the Rawlings Senior Little League Leather Baseballs.

This is a natural break in process which we have been told by all the bat companies whose bats that we sell that they have no problem with this process and that it will not void your warranty with them like Rolling a bat would.

The $20 fee is for just 1 bat. If you order more then 1 bat at a time then you will need to make sure to adjust the quanity to match how many bats you have in the order.

This service is only for brand new bats bought directly from Roll 2 Sports. We will not allow you to send in a bat that you bought somewhere else for this service.
