FAQ

1. Should I buy an End Loaded or a Balanced Bat?

If you are looking to hit more home runs and hit more gap shots, end loaded bats work best. If you are looking to base hit the ball all over the field and you're looking for more bat control the balanced bats work best.

2. What Size Bat would you recommend?

Personal Preference is the key in determining bat size. There are real big strong guys that swing 26oz. and there are also smaller guys that swing 30oz. So it comes down to your own personal feel when it comes down to the bat size that fits your swing the best. The rule of thumb is that you need the heaviest bat that you can still control. A bat does you no good if it is too light, but if it is a little heavy it will still hit the ball well.

3. What is the most popular bat size?

27 & 28oz. are the two most popular bat sizes for slowpitch.

4. Which Bat is the Best for me?

It is tough for me to say without knowing you or ever seeing you swing a bat. I can give you my personal opinions about bats and help guide you to the bat that would best fit you and your swing. 5. What Bat do you use personally?

I personally test all the bats that we sell, so I can use pretty much any bat when I play. When I play ASA, I use my Combat Anti Virus & DeMarini Juggernaut. When I play USSSA, I use my Miken Super Freak, Worth Titan Resmondo & Combat Bryson Baker.

6. What is the ASA 98 MPH Bat Testing Standard?

ASA bats must produce a Batted Ball Speed of 98 MPH or less to be certified by the ASA and bear the ASA stamp on the barrel.

7. What is the USSSA 1.20 BPF Standard?

BPF= Bat Performance Factor. The BPF test uses an air cannon to fire a softball at 60 mph towards a stationary bat which is clamped in a pivot. If the ball comes off the bat 20% faster than it was fired at the bat then it does not meet the 1.20 BPF specifications.

9. What is the BESR Baseball Bat Standard?

Baseball bats used by high school and college players under NCAA and the National Federation of State High School Associations rules must pass a test known as the Ball Exit Speed Ratio, or BESR test. This test uses a machine to swing a bat at 68 mph towards a ball which is moving towards the bat at 70 mph. After impact the ball passes through a speed trap and the "ball exit speed" is measured.
